My EXO Concert Experience Part 2

The previous article was fun right? Well it’s quite unfortunate that I cannot attend my dream concert.

Oh well, so much for saving a big amount of Money. Now, we continue...

THE TICKET

After a few weeks of holding on to that ticket I received messages from my social network accounts, fans asking where I live, or if I accept late payments, how do I ship the ticket and more questions like, am I a legit ticket seller to the point where most of them asked me to take a picture with it.

The first one who asked me about the ticket was from Negros and that’s like . . .

(Google Maps <3)

One thing I’ve learned about the ticket is that so much love and adoration is really something and it can take you anywhere, it makes you want to cross borders, break walls or even destroy barriers, it makes you determined in any way possible, despite the dangers and distance it would take (Hands down).

With too many inquiries I shut my laptop and decided to seek aid from the person who gave me the tickets in the first place, I contacted her because I don’t really want to let go of the ticket, so the pain won’t bite that much if someone else had to get rid of it for me (still it left me crying).

Luckily, my friend found potential buyers, and I was too hurt to even ask about them.

SOLD

The first ticket was sold with the same price; the other one was sold minus 500 pesos but with an official banner poster.

(Don’t mind my books, the poster comes with a message at the back)

Yep this piece of banner worth 500 minus the original prize, anyway the banner came from the concert hall and at least a speck of the arena came back to me. (Such a sad thing)

It took time for my friend to give me back the money, because the process was not that easy, my friend got to do something I should have done, “face my fears” like how they say it.

I receive the full payment of the ticket with the banner but unluckily the second one’s payment got dish out somewhere because my friend misplaced it during one of her travels.

I can’t blame my friend though, but I just gave it to destiny, that whoever took it may benefit from the money and let it be for something good.

And I have to tell this to my Mother and yet again I felt like I was the most self- centered child in the cosmos (but I only felt that way for sometime), but my mother just said “I hope you learn from all these things” – truly Mother knows best, so follow your Mom’s orders because Mother’s are awesome.

THE CONCERT

If you think the climax ended, well the worst is just starting. During one of my class we we’re obliged to watch the evening news so to comply with one of our write ups, It was my routine to watch news in the evening but about 4 days before the concert day I literally shut the TV -because, a band like EXO is news worthy specifically on the entertainment segment, I thought I can escape the essence and sound of EXO coming over in Manila but the social media was also playing its role, similar updates from the TV and the segment from the newscast was also online (I did mention in the first part that I’m a member of a lot of EXO facebook fansclub).

My friend who got and sold the ticket for me was already in Manila by day 2 and here I am in Bicol still escaping EXO, I didn’t even want to hear their song for a moment.

D-DAY arrived and I was texting my friend for a live stream and she said yes.

A Live stream is a live transmission of an event over the internet and in terms of famous concerts, live streams are usually in audio than video format.

"TEAM BAHAY"

Terms like the following, arrive every single time a concert from a favorite band comes up its basis is the place where you are located during the actual minute of the concert.

Team Concert or the group of individuals who manage to be resent in the concert,

Team Entrance or those waiting for their Idols automobile to come in and leave, another category is the;

Team Airport, or those diligent fans who wait at the airport arrival for their “Oppas” (Oppa is a Korean term for Big brother/Brother as spoken by women). (There are more categories but these are the important ones)

The supposed "Team Concert" happened to be a Team Bahay (Bahay means house in Filipino) in my case. Since I am a boarder, or someone who lives away from home due to academic reasons, I get to go back to my province once in awhile especially if extra money is evident.

Since the concert day was January 24, 2016 a Sunday, I went back to my hometown (read the awesome things about my hometown in the link below)

Unfortunately, the live streams weren’t that clear, all I can hear was the happy screams and wail of mostly women. Now I remember I have a phone number of my friend who’s currently enjoying herself. I tried to call her but her phone had another caller, she did answer once, but all I heard was one note of the song I can’t even understand which one of the almost 40 songs they have.

But at least, hearing the sound of the arena and the noise of the people in it makes me feel I’m part of it too.

(Here's a scene from EXO'Lution in Seoul, every EXO concert has the same concert pattern, so this is the view I was suppose to see if I manage to attend the concert. The Song is El dorado)

(Here's another Video, the song is called "Baby Don't Cry" the most anticipated part is at 3:43)

The Breaking Point

And then the concert ended, it was just like the normal days.

But it did taught me one thing, don’t waste money on something that’s not much of a priority specially if the money wasn’t acquired through your OWN efforts, and follow you MOM and DAD.

Now we come to the lecture part, where I say to you young lad’s “The right time will come” (oh that stings) but it’s true, not only in attending concerts but in all the dreams you want to achieve in life- it goes for your job, your career, your new car, a country you want to go to, meet your favorite movie star, your significant other or the time you want to taste all the pizzas in your favorite pizza shop.

Because in the end it’s all about timing, the thing that I just want to stress is that...

“I did what I can do to be there, but it’s just not it. It’s just not the right time for me and EXO to finally meet”.

A Next Time?

People will always hope for “the next”, the next one in line, the next class, the next days, weeks, or months, the next love of their life, the next crush, the next episode, next channel, next album release, next song, next time. Until when will you and I wait? , well one thing’s for sure, I have a lot of homework to finish. <3
